The Chausie is a large, tall muscular cat. They have great jumping ability and are very active. They are a hybrid cat. The Chausie is selectively bred by using a domestic cat with a Jungle Cat (Felis chaus). The first generation breeding (F 1) is 50% each of domestic and "wild blood." The Torso is long, lean and substantial with a large rectangular body that is strong and athletic. The Legs are moderately long well muscled, with medium boning. The hind legs are slightly longer than the front because the cat is built for running and jumping. Colors include black, brown ticked tabby and silver tipped.
